NMEA 0183 is a combined electrical and data specification for communication between marine electronics such as echo sounder, sonars, anemometer, gyrocompass, autopilot, GPS receivers and many other types of instruments.
AXIOM+ 9 AIS 700 all-weather display is shipped with the easy-to-learn and use LightHouse 3 operating system. The OS supports C-MAP mapping, Navionics, an extended set of Lighthouse maps, and day and night mode. The ship's position is determined by highly sensitive GPS/GLONASS.
Raymarine AXIOM+ 9 AIS 700’s features are enhanced thanks to a class B automated identification system transceiver that provides:
- receipt of information from ships at sea;
- transmission of data about your ship to the systems of other ships;
- stopping the transmission of information with the identification of your vessel, but maintaining the reception of data about surrounding vessels using the Silent mode, which is important in fishing competitions or in dangerous areas with pirates;
- increasing the speed of information transfer and range using SOTDMA technology.
SOTDMA AIS transponders are not suppressed by Class A devices. Another advantage of the AIS 700 transceiver is that it can use the same antenna as the VHF voice radiotelephone, since they operate on the same bandwidth.
Raymarine's navigation display platform is designed for future expansion - you can buy a marine chartplotter AXIOM+ 9 AIS 700 with many additional peripherals.
