Gibsy ALU-D 290 has an additional margin of safety compared to many other rigid inflatable boats. It has a double bottom made of aluminum and magnesium alloy. A hard floor is a huge advantage over fully inflatable models:
- it does not sag when landing, does not spring when diving or casting a spinning rod. You will not lose balance from gunshot recoil if you are fond of boat hunting;
- the light weight of the dinghy is provided by a small draft, which, thanks to a metal bottom, allows you to come close to the shore and not be afraid of shoals, rapids, as well as snags and reeds;

To avoid injury, the floor is covered with a layer of non-slip plastic.
The weight of the boat is only 54 kg, so it quickly picks up speed quite and easily goes on planing. This is facilitated by the V-shaped keel. By cutting through the waves, it eases the movement by planing on the very surface of the water.
Due to the lightness, the boat glides and maneuvers perfectly, and the keel maintains a stable course.
The fast acceleration and planing capability saves fuel because a powerful engine is not required for the RIB.
