Ulrich Manigel has been selected as the Managing Director of the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI).
Having been a part of IMCI since 2002, Ulrich has been serving as the general manager and certification director for the past eight years.
He is a master craft boatbuilder by education and boasts over 30 years of experience in the recreational craft industry.
Ulrich has actively contributed as an expert in various ISO/Technical Committee 188 working groups for Small Craft and has been a representative of IMCI at Recreational Craft Sectoral Group meetings.
Besides, he has conducted numerous lectures and workshops focusing on the CE certification of boats and components.
He also holds the positions of a boat and yacht inspector at the National Marine Manufacturers Association and chairs the German Surveyor's Association, VBS e.V.
Ulrich Manigel has taken over the role of MD from Ulrich Heinemann, who retired from the company on December 31, 2024.
