XO DFNDR 9 continues the line of crossovers from XO Boats. One could simply say that this is an enlarged version of the XO DFNDR 9, if not for many fundamental differences against the background of a clearly visible common DNA.

The increase in the dimensions of the boat led to a change in layout:
- you have a double cabin with access to the bow cockpit and latrine;
- in the aft cockpit there is a sofa and a folding lifting table;
- the enlarged steering console received two marine displays;
- a twin-engine unit from a Mercury V6 at 225 HP can now be controlled with a joystick, in addition to the helm and engine control handles;
- two deep lockers were added along the sides in the stern, with a locker/anchor box in the forepeak, new non-slip deck covering and handrails along the side.
The hull of the XO DFNDR 9 is also welded from a durable aluminum-magnesium marine alloy, the deck/inner hull is made of fiberglass. The new boat is almost a ton heavier than the previous one, and therefore the maximum power of outboard motors is also higher. The fuel reserve has been increased: 450 liters against 355 liters.
According to the manufacturer, the maximum speed reaches 50 knots (6000 rpm), and in cruising mode - 40 knots (about 4500 rpm). You can count on a range of 200 miles.
