Innovative Tohatsu ALARIS Electric Boat Motor

Tohatsu Corporation has recently unveiled the latest addition to its electric outboard lineup - the ALARIS 6.0 tiller handle model.

This new tiller model inherits many features from the existing ALARIS remote model, such as integrated power tilt and trim, versatile battery configurations, and a built-in GPS system.

Moreover, the tiller handle of the new model comes equipped with a throttle position sensor, throttle tension adjustment, a resting pad, and a tilt and trim switch located on the twist throttle grip end.

Furthermore, there is a 4.6-inch built-in touch screen display that allows users to monitor speed, battery state of charge, gear indicator, and throttle percentage.

Outboard Electrification

President of Tohatsu Corporation, Isami Hyuga, mentioned, “We have received numerous requests for a tiller handle application in our 6kW output category, leading us to expand our product range to cater to the needs of electric outboard enthusiasts.”

He added, “The introduction of this new model provides us with the opportunity to offer a diverse range of options for outboard electrification, aligning with our commitment to deliver a more intelligent and thrilling boating experience.”

The prototype of the tiller model is currently being showcased at the 2025 Toronto International Boat Show and boot Dusseldorf 2025, with plans for it to be exhibited at the 2025 Miami International Boat Show in February.
