The design of the reinforced inflatable fender allows you to place it on the sides of the boat in different ways:
- hang on a cable along the board to the required length, up to touching the water surface, attaching it by one eye;
- fasten on the sides by both eyes in the vertical direction - the need for such installation may arise in strong winds: this way the fenders will not sway, opening the sides for a direct impact on the quay wall, piles or neighboring boats;
- fix the fenders in the horizontal direction by both eyes, thus creating an inflatable bumper, which will act as a shock absorber and damper.
The main operating condition is to maintain the pressure in the reinforced inflatable fenders within 0.15 bar when inflating. If you store fenders in an inflated state, a regular (every year or two) pressure check is required.
If you have a question about what diameter fender is needed for your boat, proceed from the fact that for every 120 cm of its length there should be 2.5 cm of fender diameter. If you want to know how many reinforced inflatable fenders to buy for a boat, consider that one damper should be used for every 2.5-3 meters of the length of the boat. And in any case, their number should not be less than three on one side.
