What if the third time's the charm! The crew of SVR Lazartigue switched back to green code on the morning of January 20 and left their home port of Concarneau to reach the starting area of the Jules Verne Trophy.
Countdown starts tonight!
The Maxi trimaran is expected to cross the starting line of the Jules Verne Trophy, set between the Créac’h lighthouse on the island of Ouessant and the Lizard Point Lighthouse, on the night of Monday, January 20 to Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
After returning on December 29, 2024, from their second attempt, the crew kept a close eye on the weather files to embark on the challenge of breaking the crewed, non-stop round-the-world record.
The goal is to complete the voyage in less than 40 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes, and 30 seconds, the record set in 2017 by Francis Joyon and his team on IDEC Sport.
