Ocean Independence collaborates with Giangrasso Group for new venture

Ocean Independence has teamed up with Giangrasso Group to act as the exclusive global agents for the Italian boatbuilder's latest line of semi and full custom superyachts.

Founded in 2008 by Bartolomeo Giangrasso, Giangrasso is located in Viareggio's maritime district and has been manufacturing hull structures and technical components for prominent European shipyards.

Transitioning from a specialized contractor to a luxury yacht builder, the Giangrasso Group marks a new chapter in its journey.

Ocean Independence's sales and purchase director Rytis Babravicius, alongside Jelena Vezia, new build and charter, have already secured the sale of the shipyard's first branded hull, a G24 Classic, which is currently under construction at its facility.

In collaboration with Rytis and Jelena, Giangrasso's model range now includes four distinct and fully finished designs ranging from 24 to 34 meters, with an additional 45-meter vessel in the works.

Inaugural G24 Classic

The shipyard's production strategy covers both semi-custom and full-custom platforms to cater to varying client preferences.

The debut of Giangrasso's inaugural G24 Classic is scheduled for the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. This vessel features twin MAN V12 engines with ZF pods, enabling a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots, along with a 300-nautical-mile range.

The interior design of the G24 Classic is crafted by Michela Reverberi, complemented by naval architecture from Arrabito.

Other models in Giangrasso's lineup include the G25 Classic, the G30, and the G34 Classic.

"Rytis Babravicius and Jelena Vezia lead a partnership that goes beyond conventional sales roles," stated a spokesperson from Ocean Independence.

Commitment to excellence

"Their expertise has been instrumental in the successful sale of the inaugural G24 Classic and the strategic development of Giangrasso's entire model range, ensuring that each vessel meets the high standards of today's luxury yacht market," the spokesperson continued.

The spokesperson further noted, "This level of engagement is exemplified in the G24 Classic project, where Mykolas Babravicius, Rytis' son, serves as the project manager overseeing the yacht's construction and will later assume the role of captain upon its delivery in July 2025."

"From conception to operation, this holistic approach underscores the commitment to excellence that defines both brands involved in this partnership and the ongoing evolution of Giangrasso's product offerings."
