Introducing Veya Yachts: The Latest Motor Catamaran Brand by Fountaine Pajot and Couach

Unveiled at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival last September, the La Rochelle-based shipyard Fountaine Pajot, in collaboration with Couach, has recently announced a new range of motor catamarans at the Miami Boat Show. This new venture has led to the birth of Veya Yachts, a brand that symbolizes the partnership between Fountaine Pajot and Couach, renowned for producing the MY models at their Gujan Mestras facility since 2022.

Initially referred to as Code 07, the first model from this collaboration has been officially named the Veya 53 and is set to make its debut at the Miami Boat Show in 2026. The Veya 53, designed by Berret Racoupeau Yachts Design, combines sleek lines with practical design elements across its 16.40-meter length, focusing on simplicity, reliability, and enhancing comfort and freedom on the water.

The Veya 53 offers a design that prioritizes clean and elegant living spaces. It features three to four cabins, a large flybridge, an expansive forward deck salon, and a cockpit that opens fully to the rear or includes a fixed bench seat. This model is designed to provide ample space and luxury while maintaining a sense of openness and connection with the sea.

When it comes to power, the Veya 53 will be equipped with standard 440 horsepower Yanmar engines, with an option to upgrade to 550 horsepower for those seeking additional power. This model promises to deliver not only in terms of aesthetics and comfort but also in performance and reliability.

In terms of specifications, the Veya 53 measures 16.40 meters in length and 7.76 meters in width, with a draft of 1.17 meters. It weighs 27 tons and offers a standard fuel capacity of 1,000 liters, with an optional 400 liters. Water capacity stands at 700 liters. The catamaran is rated for Category A/11, B/11, C/20, D/35 under boat certification standards, ensuring it is suited for various marine conditions.

The creation of Veya Yachts marks a significant step in the evolution of luxury catamarans, combining the expertise of Fountaine Pajot’s innovative catamaran designs with Couach’s renowned craftsmanship. This partnership underscores the growing trend of collaboration within the yacht manufacturing industry, aiming to deliver superior quality and performance.
