Heesen has recently unveiled the latest addition to their 55m Steel series, named PROJECT ANGELICA (YN21255), set to be completed and delivered in Q2 2027. This 55m superyacht, designed by Omega Architects on the outside and Luca Dini on the inside, features a cutting-edge FDHF hull by Van Oossanen.
Ruud van der Stroom, the Chief Commercial Officer at Heesen Yachts, expressed his excitement for the project, stating: “I am delighted with this new contract and thoroughly enjoyed the sales process, which allowed us to work closely with a sophisticated client and his experienced team. Their vision for PROJECT ANGELICA was both challenging and inspiring, engaging our design and engineering teams as they crafted innovative solutions to meet the client’s specific requirements.”
With an internal volume of approximately 760 gross tons and almost 400 square meters of living space, the yacht offers extensive entertainment areas and relaxation spots, including seven lavish staterooms accommodating up to twelve guests. The interior, customized by Luca Dini, will reflect the owner’s unique style, resulting in a truly bespoke superyacht.
The efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) designed by Van Oossanen ensures reduced fuel consumption and exceptional comfort even in rough sea conditions. Powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines (1,000 kW each), the yacht can reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and has a cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Van der Stroom added, “The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and achieve their ambitions. It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship. The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled. We are thrilled to welcome this client to the Heesen family and look forward to creating a superyacht that will be a remarkable addition to our fleet. Together, we will transform PROJECT ANGELICA into a true reflection of its owner’s vision.”
