Featuring a six-cylinder in-line design with a displacement of 4.2 liters (254 CI), the new Mercury Diesel 4.2L is turbocharged and equipped with an aftercooler to enhance power.

The engine incorporates a common-rail fuel system with digitally controlled injectors that optimize the air-to-fuel ratio for improved acceleration, top speed, efficiency, and reduced noise vibration harshness.

RCD II compliance is ensured through the utilization of updated fuel injectors and electronic engine management systems.

Designed to run on either regular diesel fuel or HVO biofuel, the engine's low gelling point of -32°C makes it suitable for cold weather conditions.

The unveiling of the new RCD II compliant Mercury engine is a significant milestone for Mercury Marine, showcasing their commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
