Barton Marine Launches Innovative Continuous Line Furler

Barton Marine, a leader in marine equipment manufacturing, is set to launch its innovative HB1 Continuous Line Furler as part of its 2025 deck equipment lineup. This new addition aims to enhance the sailing experience for dinghy and small yacht enthusiasts by providing superior performance in various sailing conditions.

The HB1 Continuous Line Furler boasts a state-of-the-art design that balances robustness with lightness, making it ideal for high-stress maritime environments. One of the standout features of this furler is the introduction of hybrid-bearing technology, a first for Barton Marine products. This technology combines durability with reduced friction to facilitate smoother operations.

Constructed from premium 316 stainless steel, the furler's central shaft offers unmatched strength and resistance to corrosion. The main chassis and fork are made from anodised 6061 aluminium, which ensures both durability and lightweight performance. The combination of solid-state and Torlon ball bearings in the furling wheel guarantees that it remains balanced and spins freely, even under significant loads.

With a weight of only 175g and a safe working load capacity of 600kg, this furler is both lightweight and strong. It accommodates furling lines ranging from 4mm to 6mm in diameter and features a toolless rope insertion system, which simplifies setup and reduces the risk of losing parts on deck.

The HB1 Continuous Line Furler will be showcased at the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show, scheduled for 22 – 23 February 2025. Visitors to Barton Marine’s stand will have the first glimpse of the furler, with availability in stores starting from April 2025.

Enthusiasts and professionals in the sailing industry are keenly anticipating the release of this furler, recognizing Barton Marine’s commitment to quality and innovation in marine equipment. More details and specifications about the HB1 Continuous Line Furler can be found on Barton Marine’s official website and the upcoming marine trade events.
