Baglietto has recently unveiled the very first of a series of eight yachts scheduled for launch in 2025.
L’Instant boasts exteriors crafted by Stefano Vafiadis and interiors designed by Leonardo Santi. It stands out as the initial DOM equipped with an innovative hybrid propulsion system – a cutting-edge power solution featuring Lloyd’s Register-certified components, newly introduced by the renowned shipbuilder based in La Spezia.
This advanced system comprises a diesel endothermic engine along with an ultracompact hybrid unit housing an electric motor positioned between the main engine and the gearbox.
The primary Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines are compatible with HVO biofuels derived from sustainable energy sources, capable of reducing CO2eq emissions by up to 90%.
The electric motor serves a dual purpose: functioning as both an electric propulsion motor and a shaft generator system.
Nine-hour Power Supply
While operating in full-electric mode, the high-energy-density battery packs deliver up to nine hours of power when anchored.
Interior highlights encompass a galley located on the lower deck and a VIP cabin accessible from the central lobby on the main deck.
Both the VIP cabin and the master stateroom, positioned forward, feature automated windows for improved ventilation and air circulation.
Redesigned internal staircases on the main deck and within the crew quarters now seamlessly connect all decks up to the sundeck.
The versatile bar area has been equipped with a dumbwaiter, and the pool section has been transformed into an outdoor gym.
Due to the hybrid system occupying more technical space compared to conventional setups, the 5.80m tender and two jet skis have been relocated to the upper deck, situated forward of the wheelhouse, alongside an additional 16Kn (1600kg capacity) davit for efficient hauling and launching.
