Sanya 2024 Boating Event Highlights Sailing, Diplomacy, Environmental Awareness, and Tourist Attractions

The Boating Sanya 2024, held from December 5 to 8, featured an impressive assembly of 45 brands from 10 different countries, showcasing 200 boats, 25 of which were unveiled for the first time. This event took place at the Sanya International Yachting Center in Hainan, China, and was attended by nearly 30 significant industry associations including the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), the Leading Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), and the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA).

The event also marked the celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between China and France, highlighting the ongoing Sino-French Cultural and Tourism Year. A special French Hall featured a multimedia exhibit about the Singchain Team Haikou, led by Captain Jingkun Xu, the first Chinese skipper in the Vendée Globe race. This display underscored the deepening ties between China and France in maritime sports.

Another highlight was the focus on JFA Yachts, a prestigious French shipyard known for its high-quality custom sailing and motor yachts. The display included remarkable vessels like Bystander, Sea Eagle, and Zeepaard, demonstrating the shipyard's dedication to excellence.

The exhibition also offered a glimpse into France's rich maritime history through an array of antique prints and artifacts, celebrating the longstanding connection between the nation and the sea.

Adding to the event's diversity, Chris-Craft, a storied American boating company, commemorated its 150th anniversary. Known for its iconic craftsmanship and having served famous personalities like Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy, Chris-Craft displayed classic models and shared stories highlighting American luxury boating culture.

Boating Sanya 2024 not only served as a platform for showcasing global marine innovations and fostering international relationships but also emphasized environmental consciousness and cultural exchange, setting a high standard for future editions of this growing international maritime event.
