Olympic Competitors to Shine at RYA Dinghy and Watersports Exhibition

The RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show is set to showcase an impressive lineup of over 170 exhibitors, featuring the latest in boating innovations, cutting-edge technology, stylish apparel, and a variety of holiday and training options for enthusiasts.

Esteemed athletes including Paris 2024 kite foiling gold medalist Ellie Aldridge MBE, America’s Cup and SailGP competitor Dylan Fletcher MBE, Women’s America’s Cup notable Hannah Diamond, and world record-holder windsurfer Jenna Gibson will grace the event at Farnborough International.

Familiar faces such as Eilidh McIntyre MBE, Lee Timothy, James Hardy, and Peter Hart are returning to host and engage with attendees across multiple platforms including the Sunsail Main Stage, the Knowledge Zone, and the Coaching Corner.

Highlights of the show will feature insights from Stevie Morrison, Olympic coach to Aldridge and Athena Pathway coach, and Nick Robins, Athena Pathway youth helm and data analyst for the Emirates GBR SailGP team, who will discuss their unique experiences in the sport.

Jenna Gibson, a four-time slalom windsurfing world champion, will delve into what it takes to become the fastest female windsurfer in history.

The RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show offers a vibrant platform for all water sports enthusiasts.

Strategy expert Mark Rushall will present a session on ‘countdown to success’, sharing valuable insights on startline strategies and early race tactics, while British Sailing Team meteorologist Simon Rowell will discuss wind forecasting techniques for gaining a competitive edge.

Peter Hart will lead a windsurfing ‘gybing masterclass’, and the duo James Hardy and Mia Adcock will cover advancements in wingfoiling in their session ‘Winging it’, which includes a discussion on the latest winging equipment.

Para sailors Toby Owen and Anthony Williams, along with coach Becky Ellis, will reflect on their year with the RS Venture Connect, sharing lessons and achievements.

"The show caters to both newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts, offering a wealth of knowledge, networking opportunities, and inspiration."

The RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show is scheduled for 22 – 23 February 2025, promising two days of immersive experiences and expert-led sessions.
