Heesen Yachts, based in the Netherlands, recently announced the sale of Project Angelica, a 180-foot motor yacht from the builder’s 55-meter Steel series.
The transaction was completed on December 30, making it Heesen’s fourth sale in 2024. The yacht is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2027.
Project Angelica features an exterior design by Omega Architects and interiors by Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The buyer, described as an experienced superyacht owner, has requested custom modifications to suit their year-round cruising lifestyle.
Heesen stated in a press release that bringing the owner’s vision to reality will be a collaborative effort between Heesen’s experts, the owner’s team, and Luca Dini's designers. Together, they will personalize the yacht’s interior to reflect the client’s preferences and create a truly unique superyacht.
The internal volume of Project Angelica is 760 gross tons, offering almost 4,300 square feet of interior space and accommodation for up to 12 guests across seven staterooms.
The yacht will feature the Fast Displacement Hull Form developed by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen. It will be powered by two 1,350-horsepower MTU 8V 4000 M63 IMO III engines, with an estimated top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Prior to purchasing the yacht, the owner challenged Heesen with their vision for Project Angelica. Ruud van der Stroom, Heesen Yachts' chief commercial officer, mentioned that the owner's requirements inspired innovative solutions from Heesen's design and engineering teams.
Heesen's 55-meter series provides an exceptional platform for clients to realize their ambitions and express their individuality. The series is known for its striking exterior design, excellent seaworthiness, Dutch craftsmanship, and spacious interior volumes. The shipyard is excited to welcome the new client and is eager to turn Project Angelica into a vessel that truly represents the owner's vision.
In addition to Project Angelica, Heesen Yachts currently has 11 yachts under construction, with deliveries scheduled up to 2027. Among the expected deliveries in 2025 are Serena, Orion, Venus, Agnetha, and Frida.
