Benny Karlsson, the commercial manager at the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Gothia Towers, expressed regret over the decision but emphasized the importance of making prudent business choices in response to shifting circumstances.

Karlsson highlighted the possibility of reviving the boat show in the future should circumstances change, but as of now, no further events are being planned.

The 2025 edition is set to be a grand farewell celebration, featuring over 200 exhibitors, boat premieres, a new sailing area, a diverse program with more than 50 activities on stage, and engaging fun-filled activities for families to enjoy.

As a tribute to the success of the boat show, a special 'hoppilander' toast is scheduled for February 8th, acknowledging the contributions of all those involved in making the event a triumph.

To commemorate the legacy of the boat show, a dedicated section on the website will be launched, allowing both past and present exhibitors and visitors to share their cherished memories of the event.
