Spanish Shipbuilder Expands into the U.S. Market for the First Time

Maxim Yachts, based in Spain, is poised to enter the U.S. market with a splash at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show. This marks a significant milestone following their partnership with Legacy Marine, which will see Maxim’s day cruisers distributed throughout Florida starting from February 2025.

At the forefront of their U.S. launch, Maxim Yachts will unveil the Max 44 R, a high-speed day cruiser that boasts speeds exceeding 50 knots, powered by three 400hp Mercury Verado V10 outboard engines. Marc Forné, the sales manager at Maxim Yachts, expressed his enthusiasm about the debut, highlighting the Max 44 R as the perfect fit for the North American market with its high performance and versatile, spacious design ideal for leisure and relaxation.

Forné also emphasized the strategic partnership with Legacy Marine, describing them as an ideal ally to introduce Maxim Yachts in a region with a strong affinity for such innovative marine designs. He expressed pride in this collaboration, which is expected to significantly enhance the brand's presence in North America.

The design of the new 44ft model is the result of a collaboration between designer Alex Cherigny, who crafted the sleek exterior, and Isonaval Studio, which was responsible for the engineering aspects.

Innovative Design and Luxury Features

The Max 44 R features a central deck that serves as a multifunctional space, equipped with two foldable tables that can accommodate up to ten guests, four sofas, and includes amenities like two portable refrigerators. The helm station is outfitted with a four-seat carbon fiber steering console along with the pilot’s seat, enhanced by dual 16-inch Garmin screens and 11 analog indicators for comprehensive control and navigation.

The boat also integrates a state-of-the-art carbon fiber hardtop with a JL audio system, ensuring high-quality sound through two speakers on the hardtop and six additional speakers strategically placed throughout the vessel.

The galley is well-appointed with a stovetop, sink, and two large refrigerators, with options to expand up to four refrigerators and include an ice maker. Below deck, the yacht features two double cabins, with one capable of conversion into a relaxation area, adding another layer of versatility and comfort.

Additional luxury elements include expansive sunbathing areas at both the bow and stern, making the Max 44 R not just a powerful machine, but a sanctuary of relaxation and entertainment on the water.

This strategic move by Maxim Yachts not only signifies their expansion into the U.S. market but also sets a new standard in luxury day cruising, promising a blend of speed, innovation, and comfort for maritime enthusiasts.
