Quick Group, a company renowned for developing advanced systems for yachts and superyachts, has unveiled a strategic partnership between its subsidiary Quick Nautical Equipment and Mercury Marine. This collaboration was officially announced at the Miami International Boat Show 2025, marking a significant step forward in technological integration for recreational boating.
As a result of this partnership, the bow thrusters from Quick Nautical Equipment will now be compatible with Mercury's Joystick Piloting System, enhancing precision and responsiveness in low-speed maneuvers.
Technology and Integration for More Intuitive Navigation
Quick Nautical Equipment, a long-established brand within the group, is known for its production of anchoring systems, maneuvering propellers, battery chargers, inverters, and marine water heaters. With a strong track record in the sector, the company has been pioneering with solutions like the IP68 synchronous motor thrusters, designed for continuous proportional operation without time limits.
The integration with the Joystick Piloting System from Mercury Marine allows for the control of Quick bow thrusters directly through joystick commands, smoothing docking and maneuvering operations. This implementation is made possible by a custom-developed gateway that connects Quick's Proportional Control System (PCS) with Mercury protocols.
This technology can be applied to both new installations and as an upgrade on existing Quick Nautical Equipment systems, provided that the PCS is installed or added.
A Step Forward for Vessel Control
The partnership between Quick Nautical Equipment and Mercury Marine meets the growing demand for integrated solutions to enhance the navigation experience. Thanks to this compatibility, boat owners can look forward to:
✅ Improved precision in low-speed maneuvers
✅ More intuitive control through the Mercury joystick
✅ Enhanced docking experience, reducing stress and increasing safety
"Innovation is at the core of our vision, and this partnership with Mercury Marine represents a strategic evolution in enhancing vessel control. Offering our customers an integrated solution means making navigation simpler, safer, and more enjoyable," stated a spokesperson for Quick Nautical Equipment.
The alliance with Mercury Marine reaffirms Quick Nautical Equipment's commitment to maintaining high standards in the maritime sector, through collaborations with leading partners in the global market.
