Northrop & Johnson Forms Strategic Alliance with GX Superyachts

GX Superyachts has entered into a strategic partnership with esteemed luxury yacht brokerage Northrop & Johnson to promote their yachts across the Americas. This collaboration aims to expand their market reach, particularly targeting yacht enthusiasts in both North and South America.

Launched officially at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in September, GX Superyachts is a sister company to Greenline Yachts. The company has already commenced the construction of its first vessel at SES Yachts located in Istanbul, Turkey. This new venture underscores their commitment to innovation and luxury in the yachting industry.

Under this new agreement, Northrop & Johnson will act as the exclusive agent in the Americas for the GX42, which is the inaugural model from GX Superyachts. This 42-meter (approximately 138 feet) yacht is constructed from aluminum and boasts a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system. It features a sleek hull design and is equipped with a solar array capable of generating up to 27kW, significantly reducing its carbon footprint.

Furthermore, Northrop & Johnson will also represent additional future models from GX Superyachts, which will vary in size from 24 meters to 56 meters (78 to 165 feet). This expansion of models highlights GX Superyachts' ambition to cater to a diverse range of client preferences and needs.

Vladimir Zinchenko, the founder and owner of GX Superyachts, expressed his enthusiasm about the reception of the brand since its introduction. "The launch in Monaco was met with substantial interest and prospective sales, surpassing our expectations and affirming the demand for environmentally considerate luxury yachts," he stated.

On their partnership, Cromwell Littlejohn, the president and CCO of Northrop & Johnson, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary, emphasized the importance of embracing challenges that promote environmental and social sustainability. "It's crucial for us to represent brands like GX Superyachts that are pioneers in sustainable yachting solutions," he remarked.

The construction of the first GX42 is progressing as planned in Turkey. Notable milestones include the completion of the yacht's hull in December 2024 and the installation of its superstructure. The forthcoming stages will involve the fitting of machinery, piping, and wiring trays, with the yacht expected to be delivered by early summer 2026.

As GX Superyachts continues to innovate and expand its offerings, this partnership with Northrop & Johnson represents a significant step towards redefining luxury yachting with an emphasis on sustainability and advanced technology.
