MarineMax has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Shelter Bay Marine, a comprehensive marina and storage facility situated in the Florida Keys.
The deal is set to be finalized by the conclusion of June 2025 and is expected to enhance earnings in the initial full year of operations.
Situated in Marathon, the marina offers unobstructed, direct access to the ocean without any restrictions on bridge heights.
With a capacity to accommodate over 175 boats, the facility also features service and retail amenities.
"The acquisition of Shelter Bay perfectly fits into our strategy of acquiring businesses with higher margins that complement our existing operations and generate valuable synergies," shared Brett McGill, the CEO and president of MarineMax.
