Heesen Yachts Experiences Surge in Sales Growth

Heesen Yachts, a prominent Dutch shipyard, has experienced a surge in sales, with 11 luxury yachts currently under construction and a schedule filled with deliveries extending up to 2027. The year 2025 is set to be particularly busy, with the expected delivery of five bespoke yachts named Serena, Orion, Venus, Agnetha, and Frida, ranging in size from 50 to 57 meters, alongside larger custom projects reaching up to 80 meters.

A spokesperson from Heesen highlighted the impact of global geopolitical and economic factors on the superyacht industry, noting, "As the world grapples with various challenges, the appetite for personalized luxury experiences is on the rise, fostering innovation within our sector."

In a significant development earlier this year, Heesen launched the 55-meter steel yacht Solemates, known during its planning phase as Project Venus. Solemates is now preparing for its maiden voyage following its upcoming sea trials in the North Sea.

Interior customization for Solemates is being expertly handled by Heesen's in-house team, in partnership with Silvia Margutti from Luca Dini Design and Architecture. Their goal is to craft an interior that mirrors the owner's unique tastes, featuring a dynamic color palette of lime greens, teal, and baby aqua blue, designed to support a family-oriented environment.

The yacht boasts several distinctive features, such as an artistically redesigned main staircase adorned with acrylic panels that shimmer with embedded gold flakes and crystals. The bridge deck salon has been specifically designed to enhance family interactions, and the sundeck offers an expanded jacuzzi and a conveniently placed bar.

Niels Vaessen, CEO of Heesen Yachts, expressed pride in their commitment to excellence and innovation: "The launch of Solemates is a testament to our dedication to delivering supremely crafted and innovatively designed yachts that surpass our clients' expectations."

Looking ahead, Solemates is scheduled to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025, with delivery anticipated in the second quarter of the same year. Furthermore, Heesen has announced the recent sale of another yacht in the 55m steel series, named Project Angelica. This yacht features a fast displacement hull designed by Van Oossanen, ensuring robust performance with twin MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines, facilitating a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.

Ruud van der Stroom, chief commercial officer at Heesen, praised the 55-meter series: "It offers an exceptional blend of stunning exterior aesthetics, excellent seaworthiness, and the finest Dutch craftsmanship, with some of the most generous interior volumes in its class."

He concluded, "We are excited to welcome the client behind Project Angelica to the Heesen family and are eager to deliver a yacht that will stand as a proud emblem of our distinguished fleet."
