Beneteau Group headquarters and brand production are located in the north of France in Croix-de-Vie.

Beneteau shipyard builds outboard motorboats and cruising yachts with a Mediterranean cockpit. The company's model range includes more than 4 dozen models of sailing and motor models made of composite materials with a length of 4 to 20 m.

Today Beneteau Group includes yachting brands CNB, Lagoon, Jeanneau, Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft, Scarab, Monte Carlo Yachts, Prestige, Excess, Seascape, Delphia Yachts. Members of the Bénéteau family are still present on the board of directors.

Founder of this world's largest yacht company Benjamin Bénéteau was interested in boats from an early age. In 1884, in the town of Croix-de-Vie in the province of Vendée, he founded the production of fishing boats, first sailing, then motorized. Since 1928, his son André Bénéteau has been involved in the development of the company. In the 60s already his children Annette Bénéteau-Roux and André Bénéteau launched the production of recreational and sport-fishing boats made of composite materials. The sailing Forban, Galion, and later the two-masted Evasion 32 were in high demand. In 1974, planing Antares was born, and in 1976, the Beneteau First sailing series, made by André Mauric, German Frers, Philippe Starck and Jean Berret.

Beneteau company marked its centenary with the opening of production in the USA, at the same time it became public. In 1987, the market met Beneteau Oceanis by Philippe Briand, in 1990 - with a monotype for offshore singles racing Figaro Beneteau, which in its recent reincarnation was equipped with hydrofoils.
