The fenders are necessary to avoid serious damage to the coating of the side of the boat or yacht during certain maneuvers:
- docking at the pier;
- mooring to other ships;
- joint mooring;
- towing;
- locking.
This model has a through hole for threading the rope. After that, it is placed vertically or horizontally so that it protects 2/3 of the side height - you usually need to buy one unit per every 2 or 3 meters along the length of the ship's hull. Before sailing, the fenders are put back on board and stored in an inflated or deflated state. Such fenders do not require special fastenings or rigid fixation, which allows them to be easily transported, quickly moved from side to side; they are also freely adjustable in height.
After purchase the device is filled with air through a special nylon valve using a compressor, electric, manual or automobile pump.
Try not to over-inflate the fender - it needs to flex a little under pressure, otherwise it won't do its job as a shock absorber. To provide additional resilience and protection, the company produced a soft polymer polyvinyl chloride for the damper to be more flexible, resilient and wear resistant. It retains its shape, withstands heavy loads, does not stretch and provides stable pressure inside the chamber.
