The product is cast as a whole, without seams and joints and has two reinforced fastening rings with a diameter of 1,5 cm at the ends. The built-in valve allows you to quickly fill the device with air and create the necessary pressure using a compressor, hand or boat pump.
Such devices have been used since time immemorial, and these upgraded versions are placed the same way as a protective buffer between the side of the yacht and other surfaces to protect the skin of the boat from damage during mooring or docking with another vessel. It's much cheaper to buy fenders than to pay for repairs, so all over the world, from huge fishing boats to private shipowners, fenders of different types and sizes are used. Compared to fixed rigid options, inflatable mounted dampers are convenient because:
- they can be quickly and easily mounted, weigh very little;
- do not require constant fixation and do not slow down the boat;
- are freely adjustable in height.
Damper size is Ø 15 cm by 61 cm in length, which is suitable for boats of small and medium dimensions. Often the size of the fender is selected so that the length of the fender overlaps up to two-thirds of the freeboard. It is recommended to have one protective device for every two or three meters of hull length, but not less than three on one side. The standard number of fenders for a medium-sized yacht is 7-9 pieces.
