It is usually set up on the deck of a boat or a ship to prevent the anchor chain from slipping in turbulent water conditions, especially when it's under tension. Capable of handling substantial loads, this device can be operated both manually and automatically.
Facilitating safe and effortless release of the anchor chain, the chain stopper features a foot pedal. Once the pedal is activated, the chain is loosened from the stopper, making it possible to raise the anchor.
