In 2019, the Austin Parker shipyard in Italy embarked on a new phase of development aimed at introducing innovative models and product lines to the market. This vision is now coming to fruition through a collaboration with designer Fulvio De Simoni and the renowned firm Pininfarina. Together, they have launched the Unica 58 power catamaran and recently unveiled the Iconica 100 navetta design.
De Simoni, known for his work with Pershing, Rossinavi, and other yacht brands, emphasizes the importance of anticipating trends, reimagining onboard spaces, and creating a distinct style that defines the shipyard. The collaboration with Pininfarina has been a source of inspiration, leading to the development of high-quality projects that push boundaries in yacht design.
The Iconica series sets out to offer some of the most spacious dimensions in its category, featuring expansive windows, a two-level aft entrance, and a beach club with direct access to the guest staterooms below deck. The owner's stateroom, situated on the main deck, boasts a private terrace for a luxurious experience.
Daniele Mazzon, the head of nautical design at Pininfarina, highlights the focus on identifying and addressing the current market's shortcomings to ensure that the new products excel in comfort and performance, setting them apart from the competition.
Similar to the Iconica range, the Unica 58 power catamaran showcases large windows and a spacious master stateroom, complemented by stylish interior and exterior furnishings. Both series prioritize sustainability, incorporating energy-efficient systems and solar panels as standard features in response to growing environmental concerns.
This collaboration between Austin Parker, Fulvio De Simoni, and Pininfarina represents a significant step forward in yacht design, combining innovation, luxury, and eco-consciousness to shape the future of the industry.
