Dometic revolutionizes marine air conditioning

Dometic introduces its new range of air conditioning systems for boats, designed with a focus on sustainability. This innovation utilizes next-generation refrigerants with a significantly reduced Global Warming Potential (GWP), in line with the strictest global environmental regulations.

New refrigerant technologies: R-454B and R-32

  • R-454B Refrigerant: It reduces the GWP by 78% compared to the traditional R-410A, making it ideal for various nautical applications.
  • R-32 Refrigerant: It offers a 68% reduction in GWP compared to R-410A, ensuring energy efficiency and a lower environmental impact.

Innovation in nautical air conditioning systems

Dometic has updated its air conditioning systems to integrate the new refrigerants without compromising performance and reliability, ensuring environmentally friendly solutions.

“Our goal is to combine excellent performance and sustainability. We collaborate with NMMA and ABYC to ensure safe and environmentally friendly solutions,” says Eric Fetchko, President of Dometic Marine Division.

Energy efficiency and sustainability

Thanks to low GWP refrigerants and variable capacity technology, Dometic systems offer superior energy efficiency and lower emissions. This approach positions Dometic as a leader in the sustainable transition for the nautical sector.

A range for every need

Dometic produces air conditioning systems for boats of all sizes, from 6 meters to superyachts, designed in its state-of-the-art facilities in Florida and Italy.

Preparing for the future

With a commitment to phasing out high GWP refrigerants, Dometic anticipates global regulations, maintaining its leadership in sustainable innovation.
