Positive Outlook for the Upcoming Season at boot Düsseldorf

More than 200,000 individuals from 113 different countries attended boot Düsseldorf 2025, providing an optimistic outlook for the upcoming season, according to organisers.

The top visitor countries included the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, France, Turkey, and Switzerland.

Attendance from regions like North America and Asia, particularly the USA and China, continued to rise.

The event featured 1,500 exhibitors from 67 countries across 16 exhibition halls, with a significant presence from Italy, the Netherlands, and France.

Messe Düsseldorf’s COO Marius Berlemann described boot as a blend of a top-tier trade fair for all water sports sectors and an avenue for global networking, offering engaging leisure activities for local visitors.

The event spanned nine days and hosted a distinctive water sports festival, a premier business gathering, and an impressive stage program featuring celebrities from the sailing, diving, and surfing realms.

Robert Marx, president of boot Düsseldorf and the German Marine Federation (BVWW), praised the sensational atmosphere at the event. He noted a surge in demand for smaller boats, attracting numerous new international prospective buyers.

Sustainability took center stage with boot’s ‘blue innovation dock,’ serving as a platform for discussions on advancements in boat segments, as well as innovations in propulsion, fuels, and materials.

Philip Easthill, spokesperson for the European Boating Industry (EBI), emphasized the importance of sustainability and innovation, highlighting the role of the blue innovation dock in promoting these values.

The event focused on crucial topics such as alternative propulsion, eco-friendly materials, incentives for manufacturers, and infrastructure improvements at marinas worldwide, fostering networking and business opportunities.

boot director Petros Michelidakis expressed satisfaction with the event's impact, affirming boot as a pivotal force and industry barometer. Initial reservations gave way to a positive outlook for the upcoming water sports season, with exhibitors reporting strong interest and successful business transactions.

The next edition of boot Düsseldorf is scheduled for 17-25 January 2026.
