A fresh boating association from Bulgaria has been founded and welcomed as the 30th member of the European Boating Industry (EBI).
Elica Yard, along with LZ Yachting 1991, Crooze Yachts Bulgaria, and Dream Sea Yachting, have come together to establish the Bulgarian Association of Boating Industry (BABI).
The companies view the establishment of this new industry association as a natural step forward, following recent endeavors by local companies to introduce their own yacht brands to the global market.
President Kaloyan Radulov, who is also the co-founder and CEO at Elica Yard, expressed, “By promoting investment in the yachting sector, advocating for the interests of Bulgaria’s recreational marine industry, and facilitating the exchange of information, best practices, and technical expertise among members and partners, we believe Bulgaria is well on its path to long-term success in this promising market.”
The primary goal of the association is to position Bulgaria as a new high-quality yacht-building center in Europe, striving to enhance the presence of Bulgarian yacht brands globally.
Additionally, the association seeks to promote yachting as a favored leisure pursuit among Bulgarians.
“Bulgaria is on the verge of making a lasting impact in the yachting world,” noted Kaloyan. “There is much work to be done, but by leveraging our ambition, talent, and inventiveness, we can establish a tradition of excellence in yacht construction - one that rivals the finest in the global industry.”
Dimitar Panayotov, the executive director of LZ Yachting 1991, remarked, “It is our honor and a significant responsibility to contribute to the establishment and expansion of the Bulgarian Association of Boating Industry, and we are committed to providing all necessary resources, knowledge, and connections to achieve this.”
The founders of the association are confident that the new collaboration will drive industry growth.
Ivelina Topalova, the CEO of Dream Sea Yachting, stated, “Our vision is to elevate Bulgaria into a center of innovation and craftsmanship in the worldwide yachting sector.
“By nurturing local expertise, constructing top-tier boats, and fostering global cooperation, we aspire to establish Bulgaria as a respected leader in boatbuilding.
“Together, we can transform this vision into reality and establish a heritage for future generations.”
