When designing the Lagoon 46, the VPLP design bureau embarked on the ambitious journey of fitting all the innovations of the model range into a more compact volume. In the fight against weight and volume, the designers won, lightening the weight of the catamaran by 5 tons compared to the Lagoon 50 with high driving capacity and maximum comfort.
Notable innovations:
- the large stainless steel handrails were removed, instead the handrails were molded in the cabin roof, providing the model with even greater streamlining;
- removal of lighting control on the panel in front of the helm: now there is no need to go down to the saloon to turn on the running lights;
- displacement of the helm to the left, as a result of which the mast does not block the view;
- automatic staysail allows one person to control the catamaran;
- Harken's electric winch helps to adjust the main sheet.
Yanmar diesel engines allow for a speed of 8.5 knots, while a more comfortable cruising speed is 7 knots.
The reliability and safety of the hulls is ensured by the new and already proven vacuum diffusion technology that prevents osmosis.
Comfort for guests is guaranteed thanks to a convenient layout and accessibility of all areas without any effort, since the cockpit, saloon and galley are located on the same level and form a single space due to sliding door partitions.
Lagoon 46 for sale is carried out in versions for 3 or 4 cabins. Traditionally, the right hull is the property of the owner of the catamaran with all the necessary amenities. The guest cabins also take into account all the needs of people traveling by sea.
