Spray hood solutions
The sprayhood on board is permanently installed on almost all boats and offers an excellent place for solar panels to cover the electricity requirements. Since the tree almost always shades the middle area of the sprayhood, smaller powerful TX modules on the right or left edge of the sprayhood are suitable. The central area directly below the boom remains free. Such a sprayhood solution supplies enough electricity, for example, to be able to operate the compressor refrigerator permanently.
For the typical 30 to 38 feet yachts from Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH or HanseYachts AG, the sprayhood modules represent the simplest solution for a permanent solar power supply The modules are offered with cable outlets on the left and right (for port/starboard) so that the cables can be led down as elegantly as possible.
On larger yachts, the larger TX modules often fit on the spray hood, so that more charging power is available when consumption is high.
The available space decides which module formats can be used.
The cables will be routed along the poles on the inside. Near to the companionway the pluggable watertight deck passages are mounted for each module and continued in the interior below the ceiling paneling.
Included with each single panel:
- 6 LOXX bases with wrench
- Sealing washers for the LOXX lower parts
- 8mm punch for punching out the holes for the LOXX elements in the sprayhood
- 1m double-sided fleece/velcro tape for attaching cables to the sprayhood rods.
Complete sets for the sprayhood
SunWare offers two complete sets with 90Wp and 120Wp. The sets include all components required for installation. If you don't have a solar charge controller on board yet, we recommend our FOX charge controller.
Included by each sets:
- 2 solar panels with mirrored cable outlets (left and right)
- 2 pluggable decks passages
- 12 LOXX bases with wrench
- Sealing washers for the LOXX lower parts
