Smart IP43 Charger (3) offers three dedicated current outputs, allowing simultaneous charging of three battery banks. Each output delivers the full rated current without exceeding the charger's overall current rating. The charger employs automatic voltage compensation, counteracting voltage drop in DC cabling by adjusting output voltage as current increases.
Utilizing an adaptive 6-stage charge algorithm—bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage, refresh—the charger accommodates various battery types. The adaptive feature optimizes the charge process based on battery usage. It intelligently adjusts absorption time, minimizing overcharging during shallow discharges and extending absorption time after deep discharges.
The BatterySafe mode prevents damage from excessive gassing by limiting voltage increase once gassing voltage is reached during rapid charging. The Storage Mode, activated after 24 hours of no discharge, reduces float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion, preventing electrolyte stratification and sulphation.
Notably, the charger supports Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries and enables on-off control via relay or Bluetooth. Its fully programmable charge algorithm, adjustable through Bluetooth or VE.Direct interface, offers three preprogrammed algorithms. Optional Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as Smart Battery Sense or SmartShunt, communicate battery information to multiple Smart IP43 Chargers.
