The device has thickened walls and reinforced eyes, the upper parts of the body are made of shock-resistant and reliable PVC. The damper is cylindrical, white with blue heads, diameter is 30 cm and height is 109 cm. Fasteners at both ends allow the fender to be fixed both vertically and horizontally, and besides, freely adjust the height. A special valve helps to quickly inflate it even in field conditions using a boat pump.

Boatowner buy fenders to use as a protective pad between the hull of your vessel and the walls of the berths, as well as between the sides of two vessels when joint mooring. Fenders absorb shocks and do not allow the sides to rub against each other, mooring piles and the pier structures, which are often made of hardwood, iron or concrete. This saves boats from a number of damages:

  • dents and holes;
  • scratches and peeling paint;
  • coating chips.

Therefore, the vast majority of shipowners have an assortment of safety devices on board to keep their vessel safe. They are hung on ropes or cables around the entire perimeter or only from the contact side so that the lower end slightly touches the water and covers about two thirds of the freeboard. The fender should not float and should not be pumped with air too much - it is desirable that it slightly sags a few centimeters when pressed.
