In order to reduce tension in the mooring lines, mooring springs are employed. Mooring springs, or nautical shock absorbers as they are commonly known, help to lessen the swaying of a boat when it is berthed at a marina, resulting in a more stable and comfortable environment for the end user. They not only guarantee safety but also significantly lessen the forces pressing on the stern cleats by reducing the tension in the mooring lines.

In specific high resistance stainless steel, they are equipped with anti-tension limit switches and the particular heads allow a perfect axiality during the traction.
