A fuel-water separator, is a crucial component in a marine engine's fuel system designed to remove water, debris, and contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine.
Typically integrated into the fuel line intermediate to the fuel tank and the engine, upon fuel introduction, the separator induces rapid rotational motion within a cylindrical enclosure. By virtue of the discernible density differential between water and fuel, water droplets are propelled outward, accumulating at the lower section of the separator, thereby constituting a distinct stratum amenable to periodic drainage.
