The front mount helm pump employs compact axial pistons for efficient operation. It incorporates a lock valve, ensuring secure rudder immobilization, and a relief valve to safeguard against over-pressure situations. Its 3/4” tapered stainless steel shaft and cast iron cylinder rotor enhance longevity. Equipped with durable 1/4” NPT fittings, complete with elbow fittings, it ensures dependable performance. Installation in an intermediate dashboard position is feasible. The pump also integrates a built-in lock valve for positive rudder immobilization.
Maintenance is simplified by the readily accessible lock valve and shaft seal, facilitating easy replacement. Included are 90° adjustable fittings designed for 3/8” hose compatibility. A ball bearing piston race and cast iron rotor contribute to prolonged durability and extended operational life. This pump can be installed using either the X64 square flange or X57 round flange for intermediate dashboard placement. It also features a tilt mechanism, offering a X72 tilt range of 60° with five locking positions.
