The EV-100 Power autopilot system comprises the innovative EV-sensor core, the compact and fully-sealed ACU-100, a control interface called P70R, and Raymarine's highly efficient 0.5 litre hydraulic pump.

Designed for small sport boats and runabouts, the Raymarine EV-100 Tiller Pilot kit provides a comprehensive Evolution autopilot system, excluding the drive unit which is sold separately. This versatile system can be installed above or below decks to suit specific requirements. The tiller drive unit, known for its compactness, offers a discreet solution suitable for single-handed sailors.

Enhancing autopilot performance, Hydro-Balance Technology is a software update that specifically benefits boats equipped with hydraulic steering, including those with rudder reference-less steering and outboard motors. This free update, available to all Evolution owners, effectively addresses three common challenges: Hydraulic System Elasticity, Steering System Asymmetry, and Asymmetrical Torque Steer (also known as Propeller Walk). Existing Evolution autopilot systems can easily incorporate Hydro-Balance Technology through a simple software upgrade.

Distinguished by its impressive features, the EV-1 Sensor Core boasts a rugged enclosure that meets IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing and submersion standards. This sensor core, capable of being mounted above or below decks, accurately monitors vessel motion in three dimensions: heading, pitch, roll, and yaw. With its solid-state sensor technology, it delivers dynamic accuracy within 2° under any conditions. The sensor core includes auto-compensation for onboard magnetic fields, ensuring reliable heading accuracy even in extreme northern and southern regions. It also provides rapid and dependable heading data for various applications, such as MARPA, radar overlay, and heading modes on Raymarine multifunction displays. Integration is made seamless through SeaTalk ng connectivity, simplifying the overall setup with the control head and ACU.

The ACU-100 Actuator Control Unit serves the primary function of providing consistent power for autopilot operation while distributing power to the SeaTalkNG network to ensure reliable performance. Specifically designed for Raymarine's wheel-drive and tiller-drive applications, this sealed unit establishes a robust interface between the steering system, EV-1 course computer, and 9-axis sensor. Its compact design allows for above-deck mounting, making it ideal for boats with limited space.

The p70Rs Control Head, suitable for powerboats, offers a combination of rotary dial and push-button controls. Featuring the user-friendly LightHouse interface, this control head facilitates easy configuration through a start-up wizard. Its wide 160° horizontal and vertical viewing angles ensure excellent visibility. The advanced LED backlighting not only conserves power but also delivers vibrant color and contrast. With an anti-reflective coating, visibility in bright sunlight is improved. The control head offers a range of autopilot modes such as Auto, Standby, Pattern, Track, Wind Vane, Power Steer, and Jog Steer. It also provides support for multiple data sources and offers SeaTalk ng/NMEA 2000 and SeaTalk 1 connectivity without the need for bridging.

The 0.5-liter Hydraulic Pump is tailor-made to control a vessel's steering system, serving as an integral component of a Raymarine autopilot setup. It is primarily intended for use on boats with an existing hydraulic steering system and is matched to the ram capacity of the steering system. Alternatively, it can be used on a boat with mechanical steering in conjunction with a secondary steering ram. The hydraulic pump incorporates a precision gear pump and a check valve, both driven by a servo motor.
