The ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology in this controller significantly enhances energy harvest, achieving up to 30% more efficiency than PWM charge controllers and up to 10% more than slower MPPT controllers, particularly in varying light conditions.
In cases of partial shading, the advanced Maximum Power Point Detection identifies and locks onto the optimum MPP, maximizing energy harvest. With outstanding conversion efficiency exceeding 99%, this fanless controller ensures silent operation.
Featuring a flexible charge algorithm, it offers full programmability and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable through a rotary switch. Electronic protection includes over-temperature protection, power derating in high temperatures, PV short circuit and reverse polarity protection, and PV reverse current protection.
Equipped with an internal temperature sensor, it compensates absorption and float charge voltage based on temperature. Optional external battery voltage, temperature, and current sensing via Bluetooth are available. The VE.Can allows synchronization of up to 25 units, providing a multiple controller solution.
For data connections, it supports both VE.Direct and VE.Can options, offering wired connectivity to Color Control GX, other GX products, PC, or other devices. The controller supports remote on-off functionality, suitable for connection to a VE.BUS BMS. Additionally, the programmable relay can be configured to trip on alarms or other events.
For convenient monitoring, an optional SmartSolar pluggable LCD display can be easily connected by removing the rubber seal on the front of the controller and plugging in the display.
