The ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology of this controller significantly enhances energy harvest, especially during dynamic light conditions, providing up to 30% more efficiency than PWM charge controllers and up to 10% more than slower MPPT controllers, particularly in cloudy skies. The advanced MPPT detection optimizes energy harvest even under partial shading conditions.
With outstanding conversion efficiency exceeding 98%, the controller operates silently without a cooling fan. Its flexible charge algorithm offers full programmability and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable through a rotary switch. Electronic protection features include over-temperature, power derating in high temperatures, PV short circuit, PV reverse polarity, and PV reverse current protection.
Equipped with internal temperature sensing and optional external battery voltage, temperature, and current sensing via Bluetooth, the controller communicates seamlessly with Smart Battery Sense or BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor. Real-time data display options include Color Control GX or other GX devices, as well as smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled devices with a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle.
