Membrane 2721 ECO is the basis of Splash sea watermakers of all modifications. It is permeable to water and impermeable to solvates - salts dissolved in sea water.
Outboard water on one side of the membrane is constantly under pressure exceeding osmotic pressure. Due to this pressure, part of the water without salts passes through the membrane, and the rest with a high salt content is removed overboard. In addition to salts, the membrane does not allow contaminants and microorganisms to pass through, since they exceed the size of water molecules.
The membrane must be replaced when the pressure indicated on the high pressure gauge exceeds 65 kg/cm² (water temperature between 18°C and 25°C).
