Sea water enters the booster pump after pre-filtration with minimum inlet pressure: +0.05 bar. Booster pump outlet pressure is 7.5 - 9.5 bar. Under such pressure, the water previously purified from coarse fractions enters the reverse osmosis membranes, where the desalinated water is separated from the salt concentrate.
