Azimut shipyard builds superyachts, flybridge planing yachts and semi-displacement yachts. The company's model range includes more than 30 models, the size range of which is from 10 to 39 meters. They are featured in six series: Atlantis, Fly, Grande, Magellano, S and Verve.

The company has production facilities in Italy and Brazil with a total area of over 300,000 m².

In 1969, student Paolo Vitelli, founder of Azimut Yachts, created his first business and started chartering, then selling boats. A few years later, he was able to create his own design office, which was aimed at developing new motor and sailing yachts. An alliance was formed with the Dutch firm Amerglass, and as a result of the joint work, the first boat AZ 43 Bali was introduced to the yachting community. It was its success that became the basis for the development and prosperity of the company.

In the 70s and 80s, the shipyard mastered the technology of fiberglass boat production and focused on the development and production of the largest and smallest models from this material. In 1977 the company founded by Paolo Vitelli produced the 32 Targa, which became a legend of the shipyard and brought her incredible fame. In 1982 Azimut Yachts launched the 105 Failaka fiberglass boat, which was the largest fiberglass motor yacht to date.
