The price provided is NET-price, meaning shipment and VAT are not included. Additional duties and tax payments might be required. Taxes and delivery costs are calculated after ordering the goods and depend on the type of client and delivery address.
The Gateway is purpose-built for petrol engines lacking digital interfaces, offering NMEA 2000 equipment crucial engine data, including engine revolutions (RPM), alternator voltage (measured at the NMEA 2000 interface), and engine hours. It is also versatile, programmable to use data from NMEA 2000 temperature or pressure sensors, providing coolant and oil pressure or temperature, boost, or fuel pressure information.
Installation of the Gateway is straightforward - connect it to the NMEA 2000 backbone and loop its wire around the spark plug wire, securing the loops with tape. In most cases, additional settings are unnecessary, but adjusting the RPM divider may be required based on the ignition system and engine type.
Key features and considerations of the Outboard Gateway include:
Programmable Alerts and Warnings: The device can be programmed to issue warnings for high revolutions, high temperature, and low voltage. It can also set the state of the charge indicator displayed on Multi-Function Displays (MFD) or NMEA 2000 displays.
Battery Protection: For boats with a single battery, the low voltage warning can prevent critical situations by detecting alternator or voltage regulator issues before the battery is severely depleted.
Flexible Placement: If the outboard engine is substantial, the Gateway can be securely placed inside it. Adequate precautions should be taken to ensure secure fastening, ventilation, isolation from hot surfaces, and protection against water, oil, or petrol sprays.
Hidden Button for Settings: The Gateway is equipped with a hidden button allowing changes to the engine number (0 - 3), RPM divider (from 0.5 to 8), and reset the device's settings. This button provides essential settings for installation.
Configuration and Firmware Updates: The device's settings and firmware can be configured and updated using a PC gateway (from any manufacturer) and software. This enables linking external NMEA 2000 thermometers and pressure sensors, configuring threshold values for alerts and warnings, setting the offset for engine hours, and more.
Firmware Updates: Firmware updates can be performed using the free CAN Log Viewer software, compatible with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and MacOS X. The update is conducted through a connection to NMEA 2000 with one of the provided NMEA 2000 gateways.
The Outboard Gateway's adaptability and comprehensive features make it a valuable asset for monitoring and safeguarding petrol engines, ensuring efficient operation and early detection of potential issues.
